Intex Bangladesh set to propel the RMG industry forwardThe 14th edition of Intex Bangladesh – a prominent international textile sourcing show that links country’s textile and garment industry with a diverse array of innovators and suppliers globally – is set to kick off on May 30. The three-day event, set to take place in Dhaka’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), will bring the country’s finest RMG exporters, local and international brands and sourcing offices together under one roof.

At this year’s expo, more than 200 businesses from more than ten countries are anticipated to showcase the recent developments in fibres, yarns, textiles, accessories, solutions, and services for both domestic and foreign markets, reads a press release.

TEXPROCIL Chairman Sunil Patwari said, “Intex Bangladesh offers a strategic platform for Indian textile companies to connect with Bangladesh’s thriving RMG sector. TEXPROCIL’s India Pavilion will facilitate new business partnerships and collaborations, driving growth across the Bangladesh and South Asian textile and apparel value chain.

“This year, our members will showcase textiles made from sustainable, organic cotton as well as ‘Kasturi Cotton,’ an Indian government effort that will help Bangladeshi businesses meet the needs of international consumers.”

PDEXCIL Vice Chairman K Sakthivel said, “PDEXCIL is going to participate in the Intex Bangladesh in order to connect with key players and boost South Asian textiles. Presenting curated Indian products for Bangladesh, we aim to grow India-Bangladesh exports.

“Intex Bangladesh is a platform to strengthen ties, forge partnerships, and unlock mutual growth for both nations. We look forward to building strong connections that propel the entire industry forward.” Additionally, this dedicated expo will showcase high performance, functional, and environment friendly materials from top Asian suppliers, enabling Bangladeshi manufacturers to source, serve, and satisfy a larger market and the growing demand for high-end clothing.

Intex Bangladesh helps manufacturers and exporters expand offerings in their key markets while also helps to develop new opportunities in non-traditional markets through the connection of manufacturers, exporters, industry professionals from sourcing, design, supply chain, merchandising, and product development with a global network of pre-vetted suppliers from South Asia, Southeast Asia (ASEAN), China, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions. A growing number of foreign buyers will be present at the expo in an effort to fulfil their buying requirements and explore potential sourcing options from Bangladesh.

With its commitment to innovation, diverse supplier base, and bringing together key stakeholders on one platform, Intex Bangladesh creates new opportunities for the country’s RMG industry to solidify its position as a global leader and achieve its goal of reaching $100 billion in exports by 2030.
